closed at cougar gate today thanks to two tree huggers and a motorhome a few weeks back.they had to make a big deal with a bunch a phone emergency phone calls and they were told to leave before the storm ,they say if it burns off they will open it but if youre like me i need a little more notice than sat morn.anyway lone butte and cougar parks open.

Thanks sunbather... Thanks for the update. Did you ride today? IF so how was it? The south end is supposed to get hammered...

Man that is totally bull they locked it up AGAIN!!!!... Sounds like they spend more time/money locking and unlcoking that gate then they do plowing the road...

I will call and see if I can beg for them to open the gate for this weekend... Does anyone know what kinda of beer the FS likes?

Spoke w/ the forest ranger last friday March 27 at Marble Mt snow park and he told me they were out of money to plow the roads for the rest of the season. Would imagine that might have something to do with the gate being closed as well as some tree huggers.

JR- You are probably right but I did not care if they plowed it. I was just going to chain up the truck and camper and give it HECK...

Anyways, that snopark is sweet and they always close the dang thing...
