Many of you think it will never happen to me…in Memory of RevX 3-9-07

I’m not on the forums much anymore as I get tired of seeing the same posts about avalanches, how it’s the worst year ever, etc., etc., etc…

I’ve been personally effected by two avalanches one that killed a friend on mine, and another that chased myself and two close friends, it caught one of my buddies and he now jokes about being the dead man walking…he’s not kidding it should have killed him.

Every year I call RevX’s wife on the 9th of March now, I hope to never forget to do that…as she said, nothing has changed in her life…it still seems like yesterday.

If you don’t want to think about yourself, think about the ones left behind. I know some of you sit there and think well at least he died doing what he loved…I’m sure as he was buried he wasn’t thinking….man this is the way to go! He was likely thinking I’ll never see my wife and daughter again.

Wayne…Rest in peace.

Absolutely. No kidding.

Thank you.

Thanks for making this thread. I never knew Wayne, but I'm sure he was a great father, husband, and friend.

I remember the tread that was posted here on SW the day he lost his life to the avalanche. What a sad day for us all!

Everyone remember this! On the days that our friends, fathers, and husbands lost their lives to that Avalanche NOT ONE of them left their homes and families that morning with plans to never return!:face-icon-small-sad

RIP! Wayne!

I can still remember how upset T-Al was when I saw him a couple days after it happened. RIP Wayne.

RIP fellow sledders.

The best thing about riding........ is coming home safe with my husband and to my kids.... being able to cuddle with them and give them each another kiss good night. Being caught in a moment of wondering if you'll ever see your spouse and children again has got to be the most agonizing thought in the world!
