manual boost controller?

I want to put a turbosmart manual controller on my MCX nytro but need further instructions. I believe the boost tee goes in the line where the tcv is located. But what do i do with the tcv.

I've read the turbosmarts instructions. If you have a mcx kit the tcv is in the line where the boost controller goes. I think you just unhook the vacuum lines from the tcv and put in the controller and leave the tcv wire though.

I've done this
You need to do it right or it just wont work like you expect it to
Disconnect the TCV and just run the hose with no TCV or boost tee
Set your control rod to about 9 or 10lbs at your riding alt
Then install the boost tee (no TCV)
That way your min boost is 10lbs and you turn it up from there, if you set your baseline boost lower you are making big adjustments with the Tee and I bin there, it just doesn't work

Make sure the Tee is somewhere where it will stay warm or they can freeze up

can i put the controller on the divider between the air intake and the exhaust? If I understand you correctly, I disconect the tcv, then reconnect the line and set pressure with the rod. Once i get the pressure where i want it (10#) put in the boost controller. Say i want to run 10# should i set rod to 8# and the adjust diff with the manuall controller to acheve 10#?

Nytrofever, if you would like to consider an Electronic Boost Controller, I would offer you a $150 Discount on the ProLogger. If offers WideBand ARF Reading, Boost Reading, RPM Reading and NeverLean™ which reduces boost if you sled gets lean.

ummm correct me if im wrong but dont you set your waste gate (boost level) to what you want your MAX to then put the boost controller in place to play within those limits?? all its doing is being a valve to a pre set limit.

No, you set your wastegate rod to what you want your min. boost level at, then you use the boost tee to increase it as required. Also, take out the ball and spring. Just run the hoses through the tee that were on the TCV but leave the electrical connected on the TCV
