Manning in - Tebow out

John Elway was one hell of a quarterback, one of the best.

But mark my words, this decision will one day be compared with the Vikings aquiring Herschel Walker.

I think Tebow will have a very successful career for a team that will actually get behind him. Elway never was fully behind him.

My 2 cents.

I think all the scouts new he would never amass to a good NFL Qb, and Elway being a QB himself, can see that himself.
Tebow better start Tebowing so he can land a job.
With everything the Broncos have done this off season and will still do now they have Manning, they will be a Superbowl contender. Never would have happened with Tebow.

Tebow is not a natural passer, but he can catch the ball. He needs to change to a HB and start catching the ball.

I was surprised Manning went that direction. I thought Tennesee had him locked up with that twist in the offer to include a job with the program for life after he was to old to be a player. Sure seemed like a smart move to me.

Think about Tenesse though. If all your wife's family was there, they and everyone they knew growing up would be at your house 24/7. That would be annoying for a star QB when trying to focus on a SB. I bet the calm deminor of Elway and Fox, along with whatever offense he wanted to run brought him to Denver. 49ers wanted a westcoast style with him.

I really think all the people who want Tebow are not real football people. Just a huge group of Bible thumpers and new flavor celebrity people that can't get enough of him right now. His drop back and release are horrible. His passes are mostly inaccurate, and are all wounded ducks. Wounded ducks fly slower in the air too, which = more interceptions. Don't get me wrong, Tebow is a terrific role model, and athlete, but definitely needs a big change in his throwing game to be a starting QB in this league. If the Broncos ran the Tebow style offense again this season we would have been killed. Teams would have had a lot of time this off season to disect it. Will be good to have a fresh offensive scheme this season to throw everyone off.

This should be interesting. Peyton Manning is used to running the no huddle, audible every play, motion everywhere k-gun offense where he's pretty much his own offensive coordinator. John Fox's offense is among the most conservative in the league (not only because of Tebow, but look at his time in Carolina too...)

Seeing Manning in anything other than a Colts uniform is gonna be weird.

I remember horsehead getting drafted by the Colts, then refusing to play for them cuz they weren't a winning team..Cry baby, plain & simple...Pouted about how he would rather play baseball instead. Then a year or two after this tantrum, Indy ended up with one bad azz RB...Can't remember his name.

44 years as a Bronco fan through thick and thin. No longer a fan. I will cheer for any team playing the Broncos. You go out and say Tebow is our QB for 2012 and Elway says I am committed to Tebow and will personally work with him to make him a great QB. Boy they really gave the man that got them to their first playoff in 6 years a great chance to prove himself. To go from a 24 year old with potential to a 36 yr old that has had 2 nerve surgeries in his neck that were described as major, what are they thinking. One good sac and it could be over for Manning and the Broncos gave up what 42 sacs last year? When and if he gets injured what will the Broncos do then? Tebow got the shaft and given the type of man he is, he will say nothing and move on. I hope he lands with a team that plays the Donkeys and shoves it right up their a$$

Exactly, he is not a NFL quarterback. Look at his stats last season especially his rushing yards. He played more like a running back. Tebow was however a great motivator to all his teammates and inspired them to play better.
