we went there about a week ago for lunch and mangoes was not even open. guy at store said around a hundred sleds per day have been showing up and the doors are locked. and the few days they are open NO BEER!! WTF?? what kind of idiot wouldnt be cashing in on the snowmobile buisness there.
We got caught going over there the other night and didn't know they were closed. Total rumor (I love starting these), but seriously it sounds the owner might be in a bit of a pickle. Lost their liquor license, but they are trying to get it back someone said.
Too bad they are losing all this business. Hopefully they take care of their issues soon.
I have heard several stories on what happened but at this point it doesn't really matter. 2nd week in January is when Eric is supposed to have his license back. Mango's is normally closed on Mondays as well. When you eat there you are actually allowed to bring your own alcohol in if you really MUST have booze. Go across the street to the liquor store and buy some, carry it in and eat.
It's a (very) small town and that is the only eat in location. It's a good idea to call down there before you head that way with no food. It's a great place to warm up relax and have some great food.
I'm not attacking the guy who started the thread but...to not go to Mango's because they don't have liquer is just stupid. I might have a beer with lunch, but getting ripped and heading back up the road is a bad idea. I've been in the area my whole life and have seen my fair share of knuckleheads who tank their sleds because they got lit up. I remember having drinks with a guy whose group got lit up at the Reno and he later hit a tree and killed himself that night. If you want to do the same so be it, but I don't want it to be me or my friends that you collide with.
