Man dies in Avalanche!

Anyone have any details or know anything more about this. I think the reference to Lost Creek may be wrong, unless there is another lost creek from the one in Morgan County.

SAD!:brokenheart:

RICHFIELD, Sevier County — A man was killed Sunday in an avalanche near Lost Creek Reservoir.

The man was snowmobiling with three others when they triggered an avalanche around 5 p.m., Brett Kobernik, a forecaster with the Utah Avalanche Center said. The man was buried in about 4 feet of snow, but his friends were able to find him using avalanche transceivers.

Kobernik said it is unclear if the man was already deceased when he was found by his friends.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Sevier County is the other way from that lost creek they have posted this was down south.

He was a good friend, excellent rider and always helped with the avalanche fundraisers we did with the club. At least they had the equipment and knew how to use it, but some of the time that isn't enough.

RIP Brady.

Sorry ACG sad day. :face-icon-small-sad

WOW!!! I can't believe it. It always hits home more when you know the person caught. He was always helping out around our cabin association trying to make it a better place for everyone else. Great guy that will be surely missed. :brokenheart:
My heart goes out to the family.

R.I.P. Brady :rose:

I'm curious as to what avy beacons all the riders were carrying and what the reason was for not picking up the buried individual's signal.

Sad story, my condolences to all involved and affected.

What a sad and unfortunate ending to a day of fun. My condolences go out to the family and friends.

:brokenheart: sad deal. I hope everyone can say that just cause you crossed it once doesnt mean it isnt going to go. Its just a matter of time. Please be safe people! Condolences to friends and family.

Deepest regrets to all involved. Please stay safe this winter as this unstable base remains in place. RIP sledder.

Very sad. He was a great guy. He helped get my truck out of a mess in the parling lot by our cabins last year in a big snow storm. Seems he was always trying to come to the rescue. Very hard to hear. We will miss you Brady!:brokenheart:
