Tragedy struck one of my coworkers last night. His son was a passenger in a car with the boy's uncle when he lost control of the car and slid sideways into an oncoming suv. The uncle died at the scene and the 12 year old boy was taken off life support this afternoon. I can't even begin to imagine how my coworker is going to deal with this. Make sure that your family know they are loved. R.I.P. Josh Attardi

My prayers go out to your coworker and his family. He has a long, tough road ahead of him. My in laws still struggle with Chet's death, over 6 years later.

There are lots of online support forums for parents who lose a child. I'll see if I can find them for you. It helped me a lot (ones for widows).

Again, prayers.

He's in a better place. I know some think that's a cliche', but I truly believe it.
Prayers for friends & family as they greive.:(

sorry for his loss. i'am actually scared as a parent of this happening to one of my kids, i would lose all hope on life if i was put in this spot. i hope his family can pull through RIP:rose:

Never know what's going to happen, even 1 minute from now.

Sorry to hear that...:(

Talked about parenting and what happens when you have kids yesterday with a new Dad. Every parents worst nightmare that scares the hell out of me. It must take incredible strength to make it through such a tragedy.....and support. For that your co-worker, his family and loss shall be in my prayers.....for strength & peace.

we tell each other "i love you" every time one of us leaves, you just never know what will happen. the kids used to think it was silly, but now that thier older they are doing the same with thier kids...

Please give your coworker my sincere condolences. They will need prayers and alot of encouragement, especially down the road. Give them one word from me, please tell them that the unbearable pain will subside with time. It will never go away, but it will be better. Coming from a parent who unfortanately has walked in there shoes. Don.

I have been there too. It has been almost 5 years now. Your coworker needs somebody to talk to. I have a hard time talking to people about my feelings but I was lucky. I had the people on this forum to talk to. Everybody here was real supportive. Your coworker is going to need support as well. It doesn't have to be face to face. Just someone that will listen and lend their support.
