Main oil line routing?

Reinstalling the engine after a few months on the bench, so I've forgotten a few things. Anyone know the correct routing for the main oil line from the bottle to the pump? Presently, I have it run over the PTO end of the case, and then back down under the injectors. As I recall, there was nothing securing it, just kinda layed in there...but like I said, I can't remember:o Thanks in advance :)

Pretty sure mine went around the back of the motor and then under the PTO side to the oil pump. It's only been a couple days since I had it off, but I can see me already forgetting where things go......

You've got it right Hundo. Just make sure to get the plastic sheave (line protecter) laying nicely between pto cyl. & side plate @ assembly. There's nothing wrong with going under motor, just if you need to access filter for whatever reason you'll probably have to pull clutch to do so.

Just went and looked to verify this for you. It runs around the back of the motor then up over the top on the PTO side. I goes into a plastic cover before it goes over the engine and there is a plastic clip that snaps into the removable brace to hold it in Place.

My oil line is held in place on the 05 by a plastic clip like this.

If you look from the side, you can see where the plastic wire loom clip is attached to the side plate on my 05. Not sure if they decided not to do this on the 06 or if alot of them are just missing.

If you look at the two holes neer the front you can see the tip of the clip in the second hole back.

Mine was broken also. I found a similar style clip and put it on to hold the line so it would't chaff through by laying up against something. That would suck if it started leaking before it gets to the pump!
