Mag removal??

Tearing down my 800 and I am down to pulling the mag out. What is the right way to do that so I can get that side off?? I have not taken the basket off for the pull starter

you have to take the basket off in order to have a place to screw the puller into

so I do need a special puller??

To remove the flywheel.

SLP sells a good one. Heft really helps on this puller.

Put an alignment mark on your stator plate and the housing to aid in realignment when you reinstall.
