what clutch kits are being used? theres a few out there just looking for actual ride results. mines stock and only ridden at low elevation but have heard that clutching is not ideal.

My go-to has always been steve with MDS but not sure if he has anything out for the 858's

I bought a speedwerx kit cause it doesn't use magnets.
Has the best springs
They build a light weight helix
and they got started last year on the kit

Have yet to try it, can't get to the dealer to reflash my bog.
Ibex still hasn't sent the tune i ordered a month ago
Have a feeling the new cat tune is the same as the one ibex trying to sell.

You have to barrow a friends truck and get to the dealer and have the reflash done. This sled is amazing. Snow is starting to pile up. You don’t want the bog to ruin your rides. It’s worth the drive to get it done.

i like the the weights with the screw in set screws so you can adjust without removing weights. might not be able to fine tune as well in the heel and toe and what not but sure easier to add or subtract weight

Me too
Speedwerx
Dalton
Might be more

I ordered the ibexx kit on Black Friday, but I think they’re still finalizing the kit as it still says shipping is tbd last time I looked. I’ve always pieced together my own clutching but figured I’d try an actual kit on the 858 to hopefully take out some of the trial and error and get more riding with less tinkering.

Watching these 858 videos really makes me want one... I believe this is the CNS kit on this sled. Looks like it runs good. Wish we could see the tack at the 4:30 mark

wheelies are the new thing I guess, supposed to show how powerful it is or something lol when in fact its slower

i noticed the wheely thing in all the vids the last few years. trying to climb a hill and dont make it well stand up farther and keep the skis down dumbass. on my 600 catalyst you could climb when standing forward or make it real playfull (especially for a 600) by standing back. i guess climbing right up a hill with no bowties or whoopsie doos or oopsi daisies or whatever the new move is doesnt make good "content" for the youtubes

All the vids these days that are non stop bow ties and hop overs and whatnot have just about turned me off of watching sledding vids. A little mixed in with some tech riding is fine but damn it’s getting old

So true you can stand back on the boards and make it wheelie or just step forward and just ride it like a normal person. I don’t have a clutch kit and so far mine seems fine. It definitely rides better than my dad’s asender. I feel more in control.

Steve has had a production M 858 Sno Pro 165 on his track dyno on the snow. He has several riders testing prototype set ups in various areas and sled configurations. He will have kits for these after proper testing and validation.

I ordered a kit from Hubbs Performance yesterday. My first ride on my sled is in a couple of weeks, but there seems to be lazy acceleration and back shifting on all of the videos I've seen with stock clutching. I prefer a snappy throttle, especially when navigating trees. Wheelies are for them young whipper-snappers, lol. We'll find out soon if this Hubbs clutching is the Cats meow...
