M8 Turbo- Do I need Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Currently building a BD RG M8.
I just purchased a new high pressure in tank fuel pump and EBC from Boondockers.
Do I still need to run an external fuel pressure regulator with this setup? Do the new kits with EBC include a fuel pressure regulator? I don't want to purchase one unless I have to.

Thanks for the help.

If you are using a BD fuel controller and have the poly line connected from the airbox to the fuel pump then no, you don't need a fuel pressure regulator.

Sorry its my first turbo build and its been a learning process. Thanks for the help.

Yes I'm using the AD fuel controller with EBC. So you ran a line from the air box to the fuel pump? EBC directions say to run a poly line from the EBC and "Y" it into the fuel pressure boost line. I'm confused, I'll call Boondocker's.

Thanks again.

You need to have a fitting on your airbox that a poly line connects to.

You will press a brass fitting on the in tank (stock) regulator. This brass fitting with have female threads.
You will then thread an identical fitting to the one you put on the airbox, on the brass fitting on the in tank (stock) regulator.

Connect a piece of poly line from the fitting on the airbox to the fitting on the in tank regulator. This is now your rising rate regulator.

As boost pressure rises, the air will blow on the in tank regulator(that you put the brass fitting on) via the poly line. This will push in on the diaphragm on the stock regulator causing a rise in fuel pressure as boost comes on.

Now, to run your EBC you also need boost reference. You will cut the newly installed poly line that runs from the airbox to the fuel pump. I would cut it somewhere close to the fuel tank. Then install the supplied Y. Connect the line going to the regulator and connect the line going to the EBC to the Y fitting.

Good Luck

BigHoe was right.

Would you read the instructions of installing your turbo kit?
Step: 7 Fuel System
everything is explained in detail.
