M8 skis on 2005 Rev 800

I need to replace the skis on my backup sled which is a 2005 Summit 800 with a 144 track. I found a really good deal on a new pair of skis off a 2008 M8. Can anyone let me know if the mounting hardware is the same and how well these ski will work on the Summit.
Thank you

Good luck getting a helpful response for him!!

But anyways for your question I don't think they will work because the saddles are differnt and I don't think anyone makes a interchange for that.

^^^ is correct ^^^

Yeah they are quite different in fact. I just looked at mine to see if it was possible (because I'm getting new skis for the REV as well).
Unless you know someone that can fabricate some REV saddles to fit the ski, I think you're out of luck.

Then again, if you figure it out to make it work, let me know!

Cubby and BeeDoo - thank you for your responses, they were very helpful. I guess I will be back to looking for some 6.9 Pilots.

I have m8 skis on my summit 1000. All I did to make them fit was trim the rubber bumpers a bit and buy some longer bolts, they went right on. I will say that they have a little slop as the new bolts don't fit the bushings perfectly. It doesn't concern me much as it isn't darty on the trail and it spends almost no time there anyway, it's a mountain sled for the pow pow. I would rather run pilot 6.9's but the m8 skis were super cheap and I did the mod back when I was a broke student.
