on the downside of the mods list and think i'll attack the clutches tommorow. got a set of rock rollers to put in the secondary and was wondering if theres any tricks to getting them in and out? have had it apart a couple of times but never really looked at how the rollers were held in.

The rollers are held in with roll pins. find a punch that is the exact size and drive them out far enough to take the rollers off... you can leave them still attached on the other half and just swap rollers and drive back through

I had to take the two sheaves apart and drive the keeper pins out from the inside with a punch. Once you get the keeper pins out you must push the pins holding the rollers out from the inside and push it out with an allen wrench or some tool shaped like that. Its kind of a mutha!

I bent the end of a couple welding rods at different lengths to push out the pins, seen how they have to go out for the roller to come out. Putting it together is the quick part. Good luck

You can use a small allan wrench with a 90 degree bend to pry the pins out. A couple of pushes and they usually slide right out..

Pushing

Ya I agree with the welding rods. I bent three with each being a little longer. One of the pins always seems to be tignt, needing to be pushed entire distance.

I threaded out the hole for the roll pins and put in stainless cap screws. Much easier to get them out now. I also use a small allen wrench to push the large pins out.
