M8 power valve cable question.

While cleaning my power valves, I noticed that the PTO cable was rough while moving it. The "high temp" loom was melted slightly. It moves freely, it just feels a little rough, certainly not as smooth as the mag side cable. Is this because of the nearly 180 degree bend, or has the heat ruined my cable?

Its the heat, those thing should feel real smooth. The bend does add a little but not noticable. Any tension more than the springs of the power valve will start giving you fits. You will start getting servo motor codes and your sled will be in limp mode. I would change the cable and buy the cheap silver wire loom that the newer sleds run.
