M8 Porting?

I am putting a new top on my M8 and thinking about adding porting to the mix. Trying to decide between RKT, SLP or Speedwerx. I would like to here from anyone who has had their M8 ported by either of the above.

Jason

I went with SLP but, it was only because I already had their single pipe, y pipe and lightweight canister. I think there is more power to be made with MPM/RKT porting but, the lure of a complete SLP pipe, porting and preprogramed Power Commander was toomuch for me to pass up.

If I had not had the SLP pipe already I would have went with MPM. Brian seemed like a super nice guy. He and Kelsey (RKT) basically work together using the same porting spec yet covering different areas.

mpm or rkt slp porting is for low elevation if you rideing above 7000 you may not like the slp or speedwerx porting

i would think, like aftermarket pipes , not a huge difference between them performance wise. might be splitting hairs about who does it. maybe go with who evers pipe you are using.

I run the SLP single pipe kit and I ride from 0-4000ft. When I called SLP they claimed there porting was for over 3000ft:rolleyes:

I run RKT porting and head with a SLP pipe set-up on my M8.

Happy with the performance and 0 problems running this the last two seasons.

What are you talking about. SLP is here in the heart of the rockies in Idaho. They are my neighbors and elevation in town is 5000ft. This kit was designed for 7-10K. I have the full slp performance package and love it. I ran just the slp pipe for a lot of the season and my 09 M8 ran great. When I had the sled ported by SLP it was an animal. I would trust RKT, SLP, or Speedwerx to do my porting. None of them are bad and they all have a very high quality product.

Are you running the SLP intake and V-Force reeds on yours? I think I will end up going with SLP.

Thanks,

Jason

I am!

I just got the V force reeds and the air intake to go with the porting and pipe. The best part is the pre preprogramed Power Commander just showed up pre loaded and absolutely dialed for the SLP performance edition application.

How can you go wrong?
