I have a 2010 M8 BDPG

The sled has ran great all season till a couple weeks ago. It started to bog reall bad to where it hardly will run. The E.B.C started to have speratic boost numbers. Took it to my local dealer to have them check it out. The stator was bad. They put a new one in and it still does the same thing. Boggy, loads up and wont run. Over fueling itself. I've tried pulling numbers and doesn't change. Talked with boondocker they think it's the EBC and getting the updated one shipped here by thursday. I can unplug one of the connevtors to the boondocker box and the sled will run fine..but still have spuratic numbers on the EBC.

Thanks for any info!

Well I got the new EBC installed the sled runs great! But at idle now the ebc wont stay lit up unless you run it up to 2300 rpm's. unplug the lights head lights and guage pod. it stays on. could it be the voltage regulater??

Going to borrow a voltage regulator from a buddy and see if that fixes it. Any input would be nice, Thanks

Sounds like you could have a bare wire gounding out somewhere. Or turn off and on your hand warmers and see if that changes anything. Also use dielectric grease in ALL conections...

BD had a wiring harness update,(the early ebc power was not from a good source) you might want to check to see which one you have. It almost sounded like the baro tube was plugged, you might check it but I doubt its it with the electrical stuff going on.

I did the new ebc update, boondocker figured that was the problem..went and rode it ran better. then notice the ebc was still flickering at idle. Took it to the shop the voltage regulater was bad. so they warrantied it. Went to the bighorns this weeknd ran pretty good. Just has a horrible bog on bottom end and a blubber on a long pull, back out of it and hammer it agian kinda cleans out. Messed with the box #'s didn't help out a whole bunch.

When i had it in the shop for the stator they checked the reed pedals siad they looked good and had good tension. But the sled does have 1560 boosted miles on it. How hard is it to adjust the power valves? I've never messed with the cats, just cleaned power valves on skidoo's..
thanks for all the info

It's super easy to adjust the power valves. I just checked mine on the M1000 last week took about 10-15 min. Just pop off the golden colored retainer and remove the cable ends from the servo. Pull the cables a few times to make sure the valves are opening and closing good (if not clean them) then pull the tension from the cable (make sure you don't start to open the valves). The measurement should be taken from the end of the cable housing to the inside of the cable end.

I want to say the measurement for the M-8's was 35mm..... but i'm not sure the 1000 and M7 are different. Just make sure that when you are measureing you don't have the cables straighted out... measure them at a position similar to how they are normally routed. Then when putting them back in make sure you replace them the way they came out. Don't drape the cables over the spacer between the two places the cables can go (Had that happen when i had a shop adjust them and the sled was giving me the check engine code on the first ride).

I think I remember there being a good description of how to do this in one of the sticky's in the M-series section. One of the compiled Threads from UpJohn.
