M8 PG - how much boost can you run

I have been hearing 10lbs on the stock injectors and fuel system before the duty cycle is maxed out (from the sales people's info). That seems a little optomistic to me.

What is everyone else getting for a "safe" max boost without going lean? Assuming correct race fuel mix for that level of boost.

Of course at high elevation 8000ft ft or so.

Well at the Carl's Cycle ride at Snowbank this spring John Heston's max boost was 10.8 on pump gas. Phil or Jeremy can verify this also. I believe Phil also has that in the Calculated Risk bonus stuff. His sled loves boost!! I don't believe alot of people are running more than 8 to 8.5 on 91 octane though. Depending on elvation of course. I'll let ya know what I can get away with in a few months since I just put mine on:D

Its truly relative to altitude and temperature, no way to safely run 10+ unless your at ridiculously high altitudes (13k+) on pump gas. We tend to get away with mid 8s at 10-12k on straight 91 gasoline (no ethanol). Remember 99 dc out in well outside of the functional efficiency, try to stay under 95.

Another side note is some units run inherently higher fuel pressures or have other stacked tolerances (like injector size to ecu shape relationship, fuel pump coil output amperage, etc.) that contribute to there ability to require lower duty cycles than others. What works on one may not be a sure bet on another.
