m8, m8 hcr or m1000 sp? witch one should i buy?

well i bought a brand new standard m8 when i was on vacation and the company i bought it from went bankrupt and closed down, anyways
all the sleds (including mine) were repossessed, there was some kind of mix up with the financing and. anyways im not even sure if the sled is going to show up now and there is an 09 m8 hcr and a m1000 sp at the dealer here in town and they are going for about the same price. i was wondering wah you guys suggest i buy, if the regular m8 does not show ill get my money back. i've heard the m 1000's have bogging issuses and that the hcr's harder track trenches big time in the snow because its harder.

any input would be appriciated

the hcr i rode out climbed everything the day i got to run one. including a m-8, and an m-1000.
it was deep, nasty heavy snow. really deep.

not sure how that track would be in the fluffy snow, but should be no problem getting someone with a 80 durometer PC to swap if you didn't like it.

I'd take an m-8 or hcr over the 1000, i've rode them all.

It comes down to your size, I'm in the heavywieght division and have yet to see the m-8 that I would trade my m-1000 for. Last year on my 1000 was the funnest year I have ever had on snow, can't wait to get back on it.

I have an 09' m1000 sp and nothing i ride with has been able to touch it. I think they run great! like the guy above me said it kinda depends on your size also.

Love my M1000!! CC's above the rest. Imagine if you start to add a few mods!!:eek::eek: :D:D

1000 all the way!

Size matters...

If you are a lightweight rider, the M8 may be the ticket. I'm 220 w/ gear on, and will ride my M1000 over the M8 (wifey has the 8, and both are setup very well). M1000 hands down if you are agressive or a tad larger.

You heard!

You heard the M1k's have "bogging issues"? Untill you've rode one you have No idea of what you heard! Polaribus and Ski poohs bog, The M1K boogies. Ride an M1K for a couple of hours and you'll notice how sore your arm pit sockets get from trying to hold on while pure h/p and torque try to throw you off! The M1K is not a begginer sled nor is it a trail sled nor will you ever see an M1K as a rental sled and your not going to throw it around like a 600. The only drawback to the M1K is it is nose heavy but nose heavy is good in a steep and deep climb and there's no rush like it yet! Untill you've rode it, you hav'nt rode a real sled.

Years ago I snow checked a new sled from guy A because he was 100 less than guy B, about the time I was expecting it to show up the dealer folded, I was worried about getting my money back, Called Cat Sales, they knew about it and said my sled could be delivered to any dealer I picked and that dealer would honor the deal I already had, sure enough, I went to guy B and they honored the deal, no questions asked, that guy is still my dealer 10 years later:D

Cat sales will take care of you, just give them a call.

as long as its a 09 it'll be great, love my 09 m1000. but I wouldn't own a m1000 if I never planned on modding it. m8 is a better pull and go sled and never worry for lighter riders. but you can't beat the power of a modded m1000 and with a full pipe even a full ported piped m8 wont touch it. actually the only thing that will is a turbo.

I would go M8 HCR i have the 09 HCR and it just rocks. It is the funnest riding sled i have owned yet. As far as the harder track beening a problem i don't see it. I go up the hill and down the hills good i like the 90 duro. So my vote would be HCR you will love it and not be dissappointed.:beer;
