What is the best way to narrow my 2011 HCR ?can I just buy A-arms and radius rods and use my stock fox titanium shocks?
Thanks

yep... easy conversion. Think about having someone add a spacer to the zero pros to make geometry perfect, but many of us have run the wider setup shocks on the narrow arms for years. I've always done it with floats & dropped PSI a bit, as long as you're not on the bottom of the preload range on the spring, you should be good... if you're on the bottom & have nowhere to go, you'll find that the ski pressure will be excessive imo.

Dropping skid to lower front mount location is an easy fix for the ski pressure btw... some prefer that, and retaining the full travel, over spacers... but without spacing your upper A arm bolt WILL make contact with the tie rod. Not a big deal, but it will mark it up.

I did it last year you need the following:
M8 upper and lower a arms
m8 tie rods

I had my shocks shortened buy a shock professional. I used Shock-tech.com
Works great I like it way more than before.

I had my springs powder coated too...

Those a-arms are actually from BDX. They are the exact same dimensions as a standard M just come with the chromoly finish. They are supposed to be slightly stronger and lighter. I think 300$ was the price. You can get a-arms at your dealer or search ebay.

We stopped being able to get BDX M series arms FYI... can still get the wide ones, but not the 40" unfortunately.

Alternative impact makes the best ones out there right now.

btw... it should be illegal to powdercoat Titanium. Shameful:face-icon-small-ton

I have ordered a zbroz 38.5" front end for my 2011 HCR..

I'm looking for shocks right now...

Can I use the stock shocks? How high will it be?

Get some floats?

Does shocks from other snowmobiles fit?
