O.k., does the $2000 difference matter? That is a lot of gas.......

Considering buying a new 2010 M8 Snopro 153 for $10,000 or 2009 (holdover) RMK 700 155 for $8,000

In process of selling my 2005 M7. Great dependable sled. 5500 essentially trouble free miles. Only a blown primary clutch, under warranty. Great boondocking, climbs great, doesn't leave me stranded, always starts, no fuss, pull and go. But man, on the trail this thing just sucks. totally blows. Does it even have a rear suspension? Great nearby dealer.

Wifes sled is a RMK700 08, love the sled. So smooth, blast on the trails, flies through the bumps, so nice to carve in the powder, BUT I can't get as high on the hill in the deep powder. I can still get it in places where perhaps I shouldn't be but it will NOT get as high as the M7. It sits down in the snow instead of up on top of the snow. The skis sort of dives down into the snow instead of staying up. Figure any friends on the new 800s might leave me at the bottom. Should I care?

So, is the new 2010 M8 Snopro 153 track gonna be worth the extra $2000 ($10,000) over a 2009 new holdover 700RMK 155 track Polaris ($8,000)? Am I crazy to be even considering the RMK 700 ?

I'm pretty fond of the poo 700 as a base for a turbo it's a phenomenal sled, but that aside I'd look for an 09 M8 if you're looking to get down in price, I'm sure you could find an 09 for a lower price.

I am a huge fan of the IQ chassis and the 700 poo is a great motor but if I were going to buy a sled to just get on and ride, no mods, just gas oil and ride it would be a '10 M8 SP without question, I would only put a speedwerks tunnel dump can on it and ride. Just my .02

Had a good amount of seat time on an 08 Dragon 700, 09 Dragon 800, 09 HCR 800, and 2010 M8. For me I'd spend the $8900 and get the '10 M8 just because of the difference in power. It just flat out pulls compared to the others listed...

coming off an M... continue with them... they just have a LOT more power. the 700's are nice sleds, but they will not hang with the 8's... and like I said, keeping with the same chassis is hard to beat... its just like hoping onto your old sled.. but better and faster.

Decided to go with the M8 2010 sno pro, picking her up on Wed., came down to to dealer being good and close and hopefully the sled's reliability. Time will tell
