m7000 viper differences

So Im on of those yahoos that hates searching deep for a thread.. Im just curious as too what are the major differences between the new viper mtx and the m7000. Im on a 12 assault with a bunch of suspension goodies and idk why but im very intrigues to try a new cat or yami.

I know the clutching is different however what is different? The primary, secondary? how about the chain case, are the new m7000 cured of the horrible m1100 chain cases?

I like to jump around and Jib on a sled and they look fun for a 4 stroke.

M7000 uses Cat primary/secondary clutches.
Viper uses Yamaha primary/secondary clutches.
The jack shafts are different to accommodate the different secondary clutch.
Both sleds use the same chain case parts and also use HYVO chain/sprockets:-)
Some differences in plastics/windshield and of course colors.
There may be some differences in shock valving, but I'm not 100% sure on that one.

I rode my 2015 M7000 last week. It's a very fun sled. I was impressed with the throttle response and low end power, the top end was alittle disappointing. Just needs some boost and it'll be really fun. Easier to boondock than an 1100t, but still not an M8.
The big difference between the yammi and the cat other than the clutches is the cat only comes in a 153 this year. Cat does have the track exchange program so getting a 3" is easy.

Anyone else have anything to say on the M7000? Been looking hard at the Viper but not opposed to riding a Cat seeing as it's virtually the same and this year it's offered with a 3" x 162" track. I do have a few questions though.

Anyone doing turbo's and if so which kits? Kind of surprised MPI didn't get involved with Cat like they did Yamaha but maybe there is an agreement of sorts in place.

Does Cat use the radiator like the viper or is it strictly tunnel cooled?

Team Clutches

The BIGGEST difference is the clutches. Last year a bunch of the sled rags said the cat had a leg up due to the roller clutch. This year you get a set of team clutches....Huge difference. 2016 you can get the 162 3inch.

Other than the team clutches the yammi uses its own ECU and program and cat has their own. When dynoed in stock form the yammi tune makes alittle over 130hp and the cat a little under 130hp. That being said, I would never buy one of these and ride it without boost.
