M7 sno-stuff can/attack 20

Ok boys two questions here...

All this is for a 2005 M7

Has anyone tried the sno-stuff can from Royal Distributing? did you experience the "bog" was it annoying loud? did you try it with a y-pipe? For $200 it just seems worth trying.

I have my attack 20 on the deep snow way im guessing, it hooks up really well but the roost it throws is ridiculous and im getting sick of having to ride at the back of the pack all the time, does it still work well turned around the other way?

ok three questions, any opinions on clutching for 4k to 7k?

Thanks All.

As far as the snow stuff can, no personal experience, but also havn't heard good reviews. Honestly everything i have read suggests keeping the stock can or possible slp, speedwerxs, or skinz.

It sounds more like the A 20 is in hillclimb position if you are throwing that kind of roost. You can straighten it out and make it an alright track. I've trimmed the curl off the lugs to fit it under a MM700 and it seems to be working well so i would think that a straightened lug would work well too.

We recently added an M7 to our fleet and havn't had much time to mess with clutching. Honestly it's so new i'm not even sure what the set up is. But there is a lot of good knowledge on the forum for these sleds.

sno-stuff can is ear-splitting loud, a buddy has one on his m-6, and has to wear ear plugs. he's selling it right now if you wan to shoot him an offer. I have had a MBRP on my XF7 and on my m8 and I love them. no bog, and good sound.

DO NOT put the sno-junk can on the m7. I had an 05 m7 rode 1 day with that ear splitting POS then thew it away.I rode with the stock silencer until I sold it 3 years later. It also had a bog with the silencer.

i had an 06 M7 and i threw that can on there.. if ur into the loud bada$$ noise.. thats the way to go. i also had that attack 20 on mine. just flip it back around and she works just fine. but like one guy said. if u straighten out the lugs and clip them. then keep it on the mountain side. and if ur gonna clip and do that... u mind as well port the track.. i loved my sled with that can on tho. everyone knew i was comin haha:D

That can is garbage

I liked the Skinz Ultra-Q on my M7, there are also a couple others that dont lose power and sounds great.

The sno-stuff can is loud, got one on my kid's sled. Just plugged up the other day. repacked it but haven't tried it yet, i think I would go with the slp can, at least they are supposed to have a warranty. as far as the cluching i shaved my m7's both of them to 67.5 grams, no problems, make sure you have a good gram scale. weigh each one first and work from there. hope this helps

Yes they are LOUD:eek::eek Also, I seen no power gain nor any bog on my 06 m7. Stay stock and put that $200 into clutching or engine work if you want to see any REAL improvement in performance. IMO

Attack 20 - Like someone said, you must have it in hillclimb position. That position is good in hardpack, but will trench like crazy in powder. If you turn it around and run it the other way (powder position) it will be awesome in the powder and a little scary on the hardpack. Most people hate the track, I love it because it is so good in the powder and I've gotten use to it in the hardpack. If you straighten the lugs it will be more of an all-around good track. I had an slp can when mine was stock, and it helped the throttle response a little, shaved off a lot of weight, and I didn't have a bog. No experience with the snow stuff.

snowstuff can

I've got an 06 M7 and recently added v-force reeds and a snowstuff rumble pack can. The can is no louder than the mbrp can thats on a buddies dragon. it's fairly loud, but it does help the top end and mid rpms. I did try my stock can with the new reeds, and the rumble pack does make a difference. It also saves a little over 5 pounds. I weighed them both.

sno stuff can

I had a sno stuff rumble pack on an f7 and my brother has one a 03 900 and I can't say anything bad about them except that they can be a bit loud if someone buzzes by you when your helmet is off. We both put on over 1000 miles on them and never had any issues. I wouldnt say there the best can out there, but they have worked great for us.

I have an SLP can for an M7 for sale, $100. Ran awesome on my sled, no bog, reasonable noise. PM for details...

We have two 06 m7's with the rumble pack and experienced no bog whatsoever, not much, if any louder than our 10 m8 with a super Q. Have had no problems with the rumble packs and lost some weight.

Based on my experience.....

I have an 06 M7 and I put the Sno Stuff Rumble Pack on it right after purchasing it (2006). After 250 miles, I sold the Rumblepack to my brother and put the stock muffler back on. The bog I had noticed, in the 250 miles, disappeared immediately and the nasty post ride headaches went away as well.

At the end of the season, I researched and heard good reviews on the SLP can. The SLP has been on my sled for 3 yrs now, no bog, sounds good, and no headaches anymore.

The Attack 20 came on my sled as well at purchase. After the first spring snow conditions, I sold the Attack 20 and purchased a Maverick. The Maverick is still on the sled and I really like it. Is it the best in deep powder conditions? nope, but it is not bad either. So it works for me. However, there is a group of folks in here that have straightened out the paddles and love the A20. I do not think you will be disappointed either way you decide to go.

Based on what I have told, forget the Y-pipe on the M7 stock engine.

I hope my little bit of experience helps for the .02 it is worth!!

The great thing about the A20 in the hill climb position is none of your buddies will ask you to pull there dead sled back to the trailer
