M7 prebuy... what to look for

Looking at an 06 M7 tomorrow evening... what do I need to look for? Any common wear or failure areas? Things that often need replacing?

Thanks guys.

Front a-arm bushings, coolant leaks at cooler hose clamps, secondary clutch movable sheeve bushing and secondary rollers. Check driveshaft through-bolt to see if it has the updated one (update has rubber and washers in the middle). Hard to tell if diamond drive maint. has been done without pulling it and removing the cover, but if you can, it would be a good idea.

I know there's more...

Not sure that you will be able to see them. But the bushings on the front spindles can wear really bad. Another thing to look for is Arctic Cat used to stamp out the rails instead of milling them. But check for cracks in the rails where ever there is a hole drilled. The stamping caused hair line cracks that grow a lot bigger. Check for cracks in the welds on the bulkhead.

Good luck with your purchase!!

Make sure to check the compression before you purchase, trust me.... Also make sure you run it and spin the track if the dd has problems you will probably hear it they get noisey. Good Luck
