M7 or M8

hey i was think of getting an M8 for next year but i have ran accross some good deals on M7

i would like to know how good the m7 are compared to a m8 pros and cons

and how reliable the m7 are compared to the m8

thanks in advanced

Go with the M7 you can get them dirt cheap, mod the p!zz outta and end up with a way lighter sled that will out run most m8's. For the same price, sled plus mods will be cheaper, mind you you can find cheap m8's right now to to this FU@$%KIN recession...............

I love my M7! It's been rock solid reliable, and like Slediot says they love mods. If you're looking for reverse you're outa luck though. I've tried some M8's and haven't really found a reason to upgrade, though the 2010 really rips. I'm gonna mod my M7 this year instead though...way cheaper.

m7

Have m7 and beat it up pretty bad and always comes back for more. 4000 miles and still running strong.I go where all the new sleds go.. It is all about the rider,cause this sled has never let me down.No reverse, but that is no big deal anyway.:beer;

Depends how you weigh, I weigh 140 and can do just about all the same climbs that mod 8s can do on a stock 153 m7. My sled was broke most of the season so I was on a stocker and people would come up to me and ask me what mods were done to it.

I have a 2006 M7 with some mods on it. Absolutely love the sled, runs great, awesome boondocker. Only sled that I would upgrade it to would be a 2009 M8 and thats just because of the reverse, powerclaw, new tunnels, and lighter skids.

There isn't a better feelling when your out climbing and beating up some sleds with a little 700 (stripped the decals) and the guys your outclimbing comes up to you and asks what are all the mods you got done to your M1k, lol.

I have a 2005 M-7 And A 2007 M-8 I end up riding the M-8 I like the power better.. the M-7 is lighter.. but not by much go with the M-8 I want to buy a new 2010 M-8 its is so cool..... Comes with a new seat like a boss seat 160 hp stock lighter that my M-7 and adjustable handle bars... cant go wrong never had any problem with either sled....

haha I get the same.. Expect they ask me what year m1k it is HAHA

A M8 will be way better than a M7, there is no replacement for displacement.

Why get a M7 and have to mod it, get an m8 and ride it instead, save the money for gas:D

Plus if you add mods to the M8, you'll make a modded M7 look like a fan cooled 500!

I have a M7 in my garage and a M8 trust me.

If you've got enough loot bypass both of them and get a 1000. I went from an m7 to an m9 and bought a 1000 as a backup. Every weekend its a battle trying to decide which 1 to ride..........so I go twice

After riding an 06 M7 for 2 years that was ported and had some other mods and than going to an 09 M8 last year, I would say the M8 hands down. The M8 torque is so much better and I like the reverse. If you can buy an 09 I say go for the M8.
