M7 or King Cat

I got $4500 for a sled and I am going back and forth on which sled would be an upgrade. I just sold my 03 1M 800 and have looked at Kings and M7's. For the price what would be the better sled to go to. I know alot about the 1M chassis and have ridden an M8 but still need to find out things to look for in the M7.

ttt

kinda depends on weight of rider but the newer chassis is the shiznit try to find a 8 or 1000 with another 500 bucks maybe with what you have. a m7 with a big bore. if your over 200 you need more power, but also depends on riding skills and where your riding

yea i have a m7 and i have a budy that rides a king cat the king cat are power houses. but the M7 will hang suspriseingly well. i really like the newer chassis and they are a lot lighter. if i was u i would try to find a used M8 or M1000 and then you will get the best of both wourlds.

M7 all the way!!! I used to have a 02 ZR 800 with king cat 162" suspension, twin pipes, and nitrous. I would never ever go back to that chassis, even it was a big motor that made lots of power.

m7 hands down, one of the best sleds ever made by cat, lots of aftermarket goodies out there to make some serious power

m7 would be my choice but the biggest reason to me would be at least when you are spending money on mods you are spending it on the most current sled chassis available. A couple years ago I found a great deal on a 600 xfire and a similar price on a king kat. I picked up the xfire and have since spent a ton of money on it. But at the end of the day you can still buy the newest parts and update to the most current models. I think its a no brainer to always buy the newest possible chassis regardless of power.

m7

The chassis rips and mods are proven and endless.Just and example rkt has a port and head package for about 1500 bucks you have a 800 that puts out over 160hp.And still reliable as stock.:D

imo u should go for a M series sled...the old 1M chassis sucks. Its so old and not comfortable after a 1 hour ride. rider position is too far back to b useful. thats what i found anyway. i sold the old 1M and am in the market for a used M1000 :face-icon-small-hap

Issues:
front a-arms bushings worn out
diamond drive bearings-if its quiet it probably ok
tailight harness near rear bumper chafing
primary clutch roller/weight wear
a-20 track needs reversed and straightened
