M7 Clutch Issue -- need help

I have a 2005 M7 and today when riding I heard a loud pop and then was rattling. The bolts that hold the piece on the back of the stationary sleave, I think it is a balancer or something, sheared, so that piece was rattling all over. I pulled the clutch off and I will have to get all the sheared bolts out if I can, but one bolt came out on its own and ruine the threads in the clutch, so I will not be able to even put new bolts in. So would it hurt anything to run without that piece on?

I have been running without the "balance ring" for about 1000 miles and no issues. My sled didn't come with it. I don't reccomend doing it and had a post on snowest about it a few years ago but didn't get any response. It is meant to balance the crank.

The ring itself is like $60 from cat so I haven't bought one. I would like to pick one up used and put it on my clutch but you never see them for sale.

I would make sure to get all of the screws out or you clutch will be out of balance, which is not good.

From what Ive found, its not a balancing ring but more of a resinance ring used to quiet very small vibrations in the clutch. I have a couple used ones if you want one. Im in Farmington.
