M1100t front shock length

I took a quick measurement of the floats this am at 17" c to c. I ordered a set of raptors and they are 18" (noticed the length difference when i had to jack the front end up a bunch to get the shock into its mounting location). I am not sure if I am terrible at measuring, cat put the wrong shock on or I some how I got the 38" stance.
Going to remeasure everything when i get home tonight including the ski stance.
