M1100 Turbo - Where to start, whats needed?

I recently acquired an 2012 M1100 Turbo from a local bank auction. I have an M800 that I setup nicely and was wondering where to start on this one.

The sled seems to run just fine (just from a few laps around the block)and has low miles ~400 but I had some observations:

- The coolant tank was empty, does this mean there is no coolant in the system at all? If it was ran (which I assume it definitely was) with no coolant in the tank what is the short term/long term implications?

- The air filter was just dangling int the motor compartment. Is there supposed to be hose clams or something to keep it together better?

- What other hoses should I be checking

- The coolant tank seems to have a bead of glue/putty around the seam. Looks like the frequently leak here, replacing it with a 14'+ tank would be best - correct?

- On my 12' 800 I did the 13' skid relocation. Is this also good to do on the 1100's?

- Looking to do a reflash/controller. Looking at the EVO stage 1. What are some other good packages that keeps the sled plenty reliable. Got a deal on the sled so I have some money to do some upgrades.

- Any other "must do" items to the 12'?

On the right track...

EVO cold air intake gets rid of the crappy air cleaner. EVO flash and exhaust. If you plan on keeping it for awhile, get better motor mounts, align the clutches, and get a better drive chain and sprockets - Especially if you are boosting it!! I like the 13 position on mine, some will use Z-broz relocation brackets. Pulling the coolant tank and plastic welding it will be just as good as buying a new tank.

Top the coolant tank off, bleed, and check for slow leaks. I bought my 1100 with 12.5 miles on it, after a while had issues with it shutting off due to heat, had a very slow drip due to a loose hose clamp, coolant never showed up under sled it was so slow, but eventually it got low.

Great thank you!

Do I have to run the arctic cat coolant or can I use another substitute?
