m1000t

hey all....

im putting my turbo system on and have a few minor issues...

the plenum or airbox i got has another fuel rail for rg which gets in the way of the throttle cable...is there another relocation bracket that comes with the kits for the throttle cable .. mine is not a kit and i think its an ovs plenum

as for fuel...ive seen the boondocker regulator cap that goes on the regulator and changes the fuel pressure by adding pressure on the regulator,,i was told it rises on a one to one level...does one to one mean... one lb of boost will add one lb of fuel pressure and is it enough to give me adequate fuel for 7-8 lbs of boost if i stay pump gas and not use the other injectors...currently i have 43 lbs of fuel pressure..stock for my 1000...also not sure what fuel pressure i need
as a target

thanks for any input and promise not to talk about ufo`s anymore

What fuel box are you using, one to one means just that. As for the throttle cable do what ever to make it work, I'm sure you can come up with something

turbo

wyo, i havent got a box yet as i was on the fence about pg vs rg...leaning towards an attitude controller but theres alot more development going on so i can wait...as for the throttle cable bracket..i can mill one out but its time vs money.....i thought there might be one out there allready..

From the fuel calculator I have seen doubling you fuel pressure will only give you maybe 30% more fuel. You will have to drop you fuel pressure down to 38 psi to clean up your bottom end so you will not be gaining much fuel flow at all.

You will not get 7 psi boost on a stock 1000 fuel system but that also depends on how well your system works and the altitude you run at. The m1000 makes good power at low boost and is hungry for fuel

Go race gas with a extra injector.
You can run a extra injector in the charge tube like push does but you will have to get a different fuel pump and fuel controller as well that will support the extra injector(s)

I am just wrapping up a home brewed 1000 aswell,

Post so pic dude!

nice..thx boyko

ill post a couple pics right away and show you guys the situation...im building this on advice more than anything so ill take what i can get...

I have heard of some running 10psi on pg bd kits, but on the twisted kits you can only run 7 I think. So it all depends on how you do it, and with the attitude you sill have to drop F/P down to at least 40psi from what I have heard.

m1000

so if you were me and were looking for a minimum of 7 lbs of boost

fuel controller
wastegate
external oil pump vs engine oil pump
fuel pressure regulator

I would run a twisted kit, its done right. But I might try the one line to the center cavity and the other two to the turbo oil.

But there is some oil I have ran called SFR (superior friction reducer) that flat out works, if you add any to a transmission it will slip the trans and it would have to be rebuilt ie cleaned with acetone. So as long as you have a little of this stuff running through it will not where out metal pieces. I am working on becoming a dealer just for my personal use or what ever just havent got it done yet.
