My 09 m1000 won't start it got hot on me so I shut it off. Waited a while went to start it, took right off then died, it did this 2 or 3 times. Now the speedo won't even light up and the needle is stuck 160. Any ideas ECM maybe?

if it is under warranty take it to a dealer, any time theres a no start go with the basics, pull plugs and check for spark, look for fuel on plugs, when you check for spark make sure you put the plugs in the boots with a good ground. If you pull it over without the plug in the boot and not grounded it could wipe out the coil. If it has spark dribble some gas in the cylinders and see what happens..
Just had same problem, have spark but no juice to injectors, tried a different ECu, same, found a rubbed wire to ecu from Stator for injector coil in stator so I changed out stator, still no injector pulse. Anyone know if any other sensors will affect no injector pulse? Sled ran fine day before and then wouldn't start to unload off truck. Sled will run if I put fuel in airbox or cylinders. Fuel pressure is good when running, just won't stay running as injectors aren't opening. Removed Attitude box wires and ran injectors on own, same.
pull an injector on something else and try it, maybe there stuck. Not sure but do the kill switches run the injectors, or cut spark or both.
My injectors were stuck, installed 2 new ones I had, runs. Re-installed old ones again and no go. Used an injection flush machine and a battery and managed to unstick them but ran sled next day and it seemed fine until I got on a do or die pull and it went lean on boost, Got to top but PTO side was done. Had to go in next morning with a piston to get sled out. Cylinder was fine. Ran lean all the way to trucks, injectors are getting plugged with something just don't know what yet.
What fuel, any additives? Are all the lines good gas lines. Makes me curious, wonder if one of your smart valves is letting something though.
Flushed out all 4 injectors, checked tank, all clean, put on an inline see through glass filter and will see what happens. Been running Av gas with Redline oil all season with no issues till now. Just got a fresh batch of AV in a different barrel than what I normally refill though so will keep an eye on guages and filter a lot closer for the next few rides.
Is there led in the av, Is the clear filter high pressure rated?
