M1000 Wiring Harness?

Has anyone had to replace their wiring harness on a 2007 m1000?

yes, We had a 07 m1000 at the shop and we all kinds of troubles with it. (would not run right) we swaped ECUs, coils, every thing your could think of and the the last thing that was swaped out was the wiring harness and the sled ran fine.

Of the two of the four M1000's I ride with have had the wiring harnesses replaced. One 07 and one 08. Both in the first year of riding.

Do you know what these sleds were doing before they replaced the harness? My sled isnt getting any spark and I have checked everything except the wiring harness! 4 New coils, swapped in a good ecu, ccu, stator, and spark erestors, have tested the key and the kill switch and still no spark! So it seems like the wiring harness is the onlything left. Any thoughts?

One of the sleds was blowing the fuse and going into limp mode. Bare wires on chassis.

The other was showing the temp light all the time. They replaced every thing still would not go out. Put new harness in, light went out.

Have you traced all the wires that are visible for pinching and bare spots?

Also, On Polaris injectors, if they ground out it's acts like a kill switch.
I do not know if Cat is like that.

I have took all my parts and put them on another m1000 and they all are working what i checked was the stator, spark erestors, ecu, ccu, and I Have brand new coils all the parts worked fine on the other sled so unless im missing something the wiring harness is the only thing left! Correct??

I also took the sled to the dealer and checked the key switch and the kill switch and they were both working fine as well.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Im ordering the harness tommorrow unless I find a reason to think that isnt it!

Have you checked throttle safety switches?

Well I beleive we checked them when we were at the dealer! What do you do to check the throttle switchs?

Unplug the handlebar harness connector and try to start it.

I doubt thats the problem. You can check though by unplugging the switch. Its in the kill switch housing, a small 2-wire plug. I think the wires are red and black

I just tried unhooking the handlebar harness and It still wont start Its getting such a weak spark you can bearly see it! Harness is going to be here tommorow so Im really hoping that fixs it!!! I cant think of anything else It could be if this dont fix it

Was having the same problem with my TM7. Tried everything switched parts with friends sled, checked wiring tested it, couldn't find nothing. Just tried his wiring harness.Started first pull. So I'm going to order a new harness $315 in canada what's the price in the usa? might have to order it from there.

well guys put the wiring harness on and started first pull Took it up and rode and bog is gone and its running better than ever I think.

The wiring harness for the sled was 450$ us for a 2007 m1000

Had my 08 wiring harness go out also. Replaced under warranty. it was shorted under the fuel tank. keep blowing the CCU fuse and went in limp mode. Runs great now!
