m1000 turbo or m8 turbo

What year is it, any updates, how many miles. Its pretty hard to answer questions that don't give info that matters. To much info never hurts.

I rode an 07' M1000 for two years. Had an slp single pipe. It was a great sled, I loved it until I traded it in and got an 07' M8 that had a boondocker race gas setup, having the two extra injectors and fuel pump, non intercooled.
I will have to say once you go turbo you don't want to go back. The first half of the season I ran straight race fuel and set it up to run around 10 to 12 lbs of boost. The area we ride don't have a lot of monster chutes and hills so the 10 to 12lbs was overkill to justify running that much race fuel when you climb 10% of the time and 70% average hills and 20% trail. So I got the pump gas actuator so I could adjust the boost to run pump gas at 6 to 8 lbs in the higher elevations. And just with 6lbs I would fly over everything.

I felt the M8 handled better being lighter than the M1000. The M1000 wasn't hard to handle but you felt more tired at the end of the ride than I do on the M8T, probably because I rarely got stuck. Go with the turbo all the way man....

i have an m1000 and wondering if i should sell that and get an m8 turbo or keep my m1000 and get a turbo for it. thanks

You could probably find a better deal on a sled thats setup already than buying a kit and putting it on the M1000. I've never road an M1000 turbo but I know the M8 turbo goes anywhere you reasonably want to go.

hmm

ok so im thinking the same thing i have a m1000 with a complete slp pipe system and am very happy with the sled pulls hard and is fun but im wanting more like always should i turbo my m1000 that has 165 miles on it or sell it and bye a 2011 m8 and turbo that my m1000 is a 08 bought new this April as a hold over heres what it has
2010 rails
153 pc
2010 short seat
slp pipe system
slp powder pros
power commander
2010 tunnel kit

i ride 0-3000 feet

Having owned 2 M7 turbos and currently an M1k turbo here is my take

M8 IMO is the best first boosted sled because

It is super easy to tune. Most all of the kits run spot on with little fiddling. M1k is harder to tune.
M1k is notorious for eating belts at boost above 11lbs
The power from an M8 turbo will be more than plenty if you have not been on boost and you don't ride with guys on 4 stroke turbos or climb big chutes
