m1000 porting

What kind of power gains can be expected from cylinder port on a M1000 with a single pipe setup. Ive heard 10 hp gains and some claiming up to 22hp gains. What does it feel like on the snow after the porting is added

alot more mid and top end also depends on what other mods are done to the sled and what pipe you run

D&D Trail port

I just picked up my 08 M1000, here is what I had done.

D&D Trail port cylinders
D&D Y-pipe, stock pipe, with SLP silencer
AMP (aftermarket products) Head Mod
Fuel pressure regualtor set at 52psi to be safe probably lowering to 48-50 once I have a feel for it?

Suppose to be 190-ish according to d&d site, I didn't do the timing key but that is suppose to be 195ish? we will see I am excited to see how she runs.

just did my 09 1000....cpi did an aggressive trail port, just cylinders, kept the overall compression the same...speedwerx y pipe, stock pipe and can....dyno results showed 11.2 hp increase...total package was just over 186 hp with torque of just over 137 ft/lbs....tried the sw single with the package, but only made 1.2 hp more than the stock pipe, bad part was that it made the torque at 7300 rpm and the hp at 7420 rpm, pretty tight for good everyday clutching....the stock pipe made its' torque at 6780 and the hp at 7280, being that wide of a powerband makes it easy to clutch to without the need for adjustments for different snow conditions....not bashing sw pipe, just reporting the results on my setup...:)

I can't speak for the #'s but the thing runs awesome! I am very pleased with the results. I think with some very minor adjustments this thing will run the way I was hoping it would. Thanks to Chad at Aftermarket produnts for doing a GREAT job! I am even more excited to ride this year. I have a more less stock 09 M8 and the subject 08 M1000. I was able to switch back and forth, and man the M1000 runs hard, pulls like a frieght train all the way through. I think the power claw track was a smart last mintue upgrade as well.
