M1000 mods???

I've asked this ? twice before, but never got a real straight answer, especially from those with experience. I ride an 07 M1000, HPS can, 40/36 helix, BDX rock rollers, 3 post clutch w 77.5 g weights, powerclaw, lots of venting, had the 08 ecu update done before I bought it, but I haven't had the new update yet, might not at all. I'm going to lighten it up a little more, but would also like a little more power. I'm thinking I'd like to do an airbox and a Y-pipe because I have heard you can run these without a control box. Those who have experience with this setup, or know for sure if it's a good/bad idea please chime in. I don't want to run a controller, because I'm really not into tuning, I just want to pull the cord and go. Would I need to run 91 octane gas? Would I need to change anything else in my clutching? Etc, Etc. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW on a side note, anybody know what the deal is with the E3 spark plugs? Read a little about them in SnoWest and can't really believe the claims they're making, or that 1 plug can replace dozens of diff. NGK's.

same problem

I have an 08' m1000, I wanted to do the ypipe and can, but was told that it would run too lean so I needed the fuel controller. I was also told that the 07' burn up even quicker than the 08', so my advice is to vent the hell out of it and just leave it and do a can. do not do the y pipe with the fuel controller.
