M1000 Ecu Question?

Wondering if you can run a 2009 M1000 ECU on a 2007 M1000?

as long as the symbol is the same on the ecu as the 07

they both have square but i was wondering about the reverse would I have the electric engine reverse with a simple ecu swap or would it just work the same as always? Im not looking at it for the reverse just for the better runnability!

 

[RACINSTATION]

Runnability will not be greatly improved. You will have the engine reverse capability, but will have to make the wiring and drive changed to accomodate it. You can tune the 07 ecu to run like the 09 or better.
