M1000 Bogging

Hi Guys//Ladies, Some one out there must have a answer for this. I run a M1000 at 9/11000ft. some mods to it. Have it vented well. Clutch set for proper RPMs. With some snow conditions it Bogs mostly at mid range. Boondocker Box set fairly well, any ideas how to stop bog. Thanks

I have been fighting a slight bog as well on my 09 M1000 around the 5000-5500 RPMs. I have almost determined it is the fuel I have been getting and the octane level. Getting the fuel from the same place for the past 4 or 5 times the bog was gone. Until last week I had a horrible bog again around the 5000 rpm level and it was unlike any other bog I have ever had. The sled would hardly run at those RPMs and sometimes even dye. I eventually unhooked my boondocker box and hooked up the jumper and it totally went a way. I took the box into them and they tested it this past weekend and found nothing, so I guess I will hook it back up and try again. When I did pickup my box they told me to keep in touch because they are having more complaints about this same thing. I will keep you posted as to what I find.

We need info, when you say mods we can't help unless we know everything.
Year, every last mod, ect.....

could have been snow build up on the exhaust port(blocking it) or snow on the intake.

I have a 07 m1000 with speedwerx can, y-pipe, and clutching. the other day i was riding and it used a full reservor of oil. Most rides it only used about half to a full tank of gas. Any ideas?

Something is wrong with the oiler, either stuck or broke.

Is it bogging from leaning on the exhaust side or from snow on intake vents, If it is only in some snow conditions I would look toward clutching. What are the snow conditions.

From my experience and talking to others, the 07 M1000 runs horribly at constant mid throttle. I've found it to be very beneficial to 'blurp' the throttle quite often. With my riding style, my throttle is almost always full on or full off. Most of the time it's constant back and forth. If you're bogging due to the exhaust, go with a speedwerx tunnel dump, only way to go in my opinion.
