m1000 are v force or Boyesen reeds worth it

I have a M1000 with Bdx box Speedwerx pipe set up and was looking to put a head on and maybe porting. I have heard some say that there is great gains to be had by adding the reeds mainly the Boyesens. Are they worth it or would a guy just be throwing his money away.

i tried the v-force first, they had a slight bog that was obnoxious, especially if trying to race someone.....took them out and used the boysens, they worked well, cleaner, quicker hole shot....not a night and day improvement, but noticable....a port-job by someone who is good is a noticable and nice improvement, on my sled it gained 11 hp on the dyno...i don't reccommend a head with increased compression, you get a quicker hole shot for about 3-4 seconds, then it's over...the bad thing is that on hill climbs, the high compression head won't let the engine run, you lose track speed relative to the sled that's running normal compression, all other things being equal...

2 hp don't seem like much but it is another peace of the puzzle 2hp here 2hp there it all adds up
