I have a m1000 im really wantin to go to boost but ive been told that a 1000 motor wont hold up to boost and will be non stop problems and that i should sell my 1000 and get a m8 and turbo that! I was hopin for some more feed back from people that actually own them and ride with them!

Thanks guys ryan

ANY turbo is subject to install and components supplied.

I have seen just about all the kits out there run like crap and have also seen just about all of them run awesome. Setup and install is the key.

Don't waste your time with a pump gas kit as you will just want more anyhow. Also make sure that you get it installed by someone who has done 7-10 or more kits (this is easy to find now that turbos have become more common).

Get it clutched and get the proper gauges.

I would also HIGHLY recommend that you go out with the installer and ride it for a bit and have him show you any tips or tricks that they have.

I usually spend about 50-100 miles worth of riding on a turbo kit to get it tuned correctly.

Be prepared to check things more often.

Be prepared to pay premium price for good fuel (race gas).

Be prepared to piss your pants (from laughing, crying, are being scared...cuz you are gonna experience all three).

I ride an M1000 with a BD RG Turbo. Mostly ride it at 12 pounds and above. It has been pull and go as long as you stay on top of the maintenace as stated above by RacinStation. It is a handfull to say the least! Big grin all day long every day I ride it! Will not be selling this sled anytime soon even though Im snowchecking a 2012.

It's like any sled on boost you ride it hard . Then you go to the parts store . If you don't need parts ride even harder. The m1000 will use parts 2500 miles on mine and still happy :heh:

OVS 1200 Tial turbo kit 2800 miles with the same pistons nothing but grins. The key to the big block is the correct turbo sizing and fueling system you can not go CHEAP or you will have problems. If you would like references p.m. me and I will give you a list.

What do you guy's think about Cutlers 1000 turbo kits? Are they pull and go? I am thinking of putting a turbo on my 09M1000 but don't know much about turbo's. I have slp pipe and a power commander III on it now and I never have to mess with it except my clutching. What do I need to expect with putting a turbo on? Also is there anyone out there that I can go ridding with that has a turbo sled to help show me what they are like? Not that I need to ride yours but just see how they are in real life. Thank any help would be welcome.

Me and my brother have twisted m1000s and have no complaints. These sleds rip my brother runs 6 pounds most the time and will whip most any turbo m8 running 10 to 12 pounds. I run around 10 pounds and hang on. We do a ton of tree bashing and these kits have bottom end.

I've got the cutler m1000 turbo kit. Running 12+psi and it's been great. Haven't had a ton of miles, got 1000miles so far and no issues. Set the clutches and buy good fuel that's about it. You'll be login every minute if it.
