M10, D8, or Turbo Apex

Well I'm selling the good old M7 and am looking at three different sleds, The 08 Dragon 8 with 163, The 2007 M10 with 162 and then i'm also looking at some turbo apex's. I don't know alot about really either of them other then what I've red on here, mainly i'm just tired of running out of power. I want a sled that will have plenty of power, but that will handle as good as my M7 has. I'm betting they all will since their newer. I've always been a polaris rider some i'm more interested in the D8 But i don't know how people have liked them. Also I think the M10 would be a good power sled while not weighing what the apex would. I love to Climb and Boondock, I'm 6' 170 so what do you think.

rode the m10, good power, climb like no other stock, don't like the ergos, felt like a heavy edge chassis to me, my d8 155 you can throw around and feels lite because the ergos are so good, stock no changes won't go where the m10 will but with a gear change and pipe/can it'l get there and then some, don't know didly about a yamahammer, just my .02

Well....

If you like your M7, I would go with the D8 for a 2 stroke. Better feel then the M and performs almost as well (stock) as a good running M1000. Now a Tapex is a different story, heavy, but a whole lot of power. I personally would go with a D8, but that is just my 2cent, and sometimes noncents....

i went from a full mod m7 to a tapex 2 yrs ago and never looked back, apex is heavy yes but it handles amazing and boosted its just whicked, anyone that knocks an apex turbo is just ignorant because the havent ridden one!

Lots of seat time on the Boosted 4stroke Nytro last year and Dragon 800's

Nytro does feel nose heavy off the throttle once boost is on it's super light and has insane power.

Dragon feels light all the time but was lacking power after you got off anything that had boost. But keep in mind they make some sweet boost options for the D8 as well if you want more later on down the road.

I agree with DLUX I have a turboed m7 and a turboed apex I will take the apex anyday. with that much power in the apex you don't think about the extra weight. my 2 cents. but you're other two choices are also good. good luck with the decisions

depends on the riding, were we are, theres no huge arese pulls, a M10 on a decent pow day will go half way up our chute, but if its anything besides DEEP, no more than a well set up 800 is needed.... D8 and then you could do boost and that thing would be sick, still a great boondocker, and chute puller

Tapex

Sure am not knocking the power, but you can't disagree about the weight. Maybe "great in the trees" ??? lol....have ridden them

Had an M7 then an M8. Then a stock Nytro, then a T-Apex. As good as the M's are, there is something to be said about the balance of the Yamaha's. I don't think I'll ever go back to a 2 stroke, boosted or not.

And as of right now I don't think I'll be on anything but a Yamaha. The Apex is similar to the M handling wise but heavier.........if its turbo'd it doesn't matter!!!!!!!

The power of the T-Apex is unbelievable. If you can find a well built/set up T-Apex buy it and you'll never look back.

Yes the Apex is heavier than everything else but they are so well balanced its hard to notice the extra weight in 90% of the riding conditions.

One of the funnest days I've had was a socked in day in Revy all by myself in the trees with my T-Apex.

My .02:beer;

running straight up against nicely modded D8 163 in whistler last year on my stock M1000 sno pro 153" - he couldn't touch me. My M was bone stock then too - ya, the D8s lighter but a pipe and tuning aren't gonna make up 200cc's.
