M sled/ challenger extreme/ Geo mod... Clearance issues

I just put a challenger extreme under my M tonight. I was really excited to try the Geo mod I had been hearing good things about. Before I bolted the skid back in, I measured and drilled the holes to move the rear arm foreward. Did that... then bolted it in. I didn't look up into the tunnel. I measured and drilled the bottom holes in the rails and re-mounted the arm stopper. Went to turn the track to align it and she was rubbin! Undid the Geo mod and put it back together. She was still touching on the coolers. So, I put the bolts through into the lower holes. OK now, she clears. Any one tried any other suspension mods and had good luck???
Thanks,
Kor

You gotta nip the corner of each and every lug with the tin snips. OR they'll hit the coolers. I ran into the same problem putting my 2.5" in, Geo mod or not, you gotta cut.

DO you have a BDX lightweight drive? or the regular gearbox?

If you have an 07/ 08/ style gearbox- with the larger inner case- the gearbox will rub on the track.
The PTO side drive lugs and clips (the outermost driving lugs on the inside of the track) have also got to get shaved down. I forget if you shave them down the 1/2" or 3/8" height. I tried searching but couldn't find you any info.
I seen a guy make a sorta go /no-go grinding gauge... a 2" piece of flatbar, whatever thickness you require you shaved lugs to be- drill a hole the size of the lug. SO when your grinding a drive lug off, you'll go so far as the thickness of the metal will dictate how much you shave off. But only as long as you don't grind your chunk of steel too much.

Thanks. I didn't want to cut down the track at all, so I put the rear bolt through the "powder" position or the lowest hole. Now there is at least a half inch of clearance between the tip of the lugs and the coolers. I'm running a DD lite, so I didn't modify the track at all. I'll port it down the road, but for now it's under there with pleanty of room in stock form.
