M series with full kmod vs pro

Hi,
I have a 2011 m8 that I still enjoy but got some seat time on a pro and enjoyed it a bit more. I still really like the m but part of me wants a pro. It only has 1600 miles so has lots of life left. I was considering updating it with a kmod turnkey skid and raptors up front. Not sure how many of you could make this comparison but I'm not sold on any 14's and I don't want a sled payment. How will this setup compare to a pro? I was also thinking of putting the 2.6 PC on as well. Am I wasting my money? I could always keep the skid for future sleds.
Thanks

I have a 2011 M8 153. I did the K MOD conversion and Raptors all around. It changed the sled for the best. No more trenching on flat ground. I then put the 3" track on and now I can mark with the 163 pro. The new block for the K MOD coupling is sweet. Quick turn and you can go from wheelie champ to a climbing machine.

I did the full Kmod skid and Raptors this year on my M7. I've very pleased with the results. I'm still running the 2.25 Powerclaw and have the newer style tunnel as well.

I have a 13 xm 163 stock, a 12 pro 163 stock and 09 sno pro 163 with an ez ride under it. I have 2 sons 26 and 24. We love all three, but for the money I am into them I like the sno pro best

Great responses thanks so much, would love to head more feedback. I'm leaning towards giving the old girl a facelift. It has been a solid machine. Great motor and they are tough.

I love my M.....but the Pro takes less effort to do the same thing on and rides about a billion times nicer. If the motor stays in my Pro I will be a Polaris customer again.

Do you have a kmod or aftermarket skid on your m? I found the pro better on the trail but a proclimb was way nicer on trail. Still going for off trail performance anyways. Just noticed the pro climbed better and held steeper sidehill a better. As far as initiating side hills I didn't find it any better.

Try all the new sleds out before you spend the money. I love the Kmod, but I'm going Skidoo at my first opportunity.

On deep days I still ride my 2010 M8 with Kmod, Raptors, and powerclaw 2.6 162. On lesser snow days I usually always ride my Pro RMK 155 with Raptors and belt drive. My M can still kick azz in tech situations and the extra power always helps, but there is just something about the Pro RMK with its ease of doing just about anything technical.

Don't want to derail or bash so ill just say that an xm is out of my budget and wasn't what I wanted in the trees when I rode it.

For an older guy like me the xm is the best set up of what I have for the whole day. One of my boy likes the pro best and the other the xm, but none of us will complain on any of our three. All three beat what we had just a few years ago.

I have a Timbersled skid ......It would probably ride a lot nicer if Ididnt have floats on it

put a slp stage 2 kit and a camo extreme and stomp the pros. that is what my brother did, and his 2010 spanks the pros and xm's. The biggest bang was putting the track on.

Not looking to win a high marking battle just want this thing to stay on top at slower speeds better. There's no lack of power vs a pro

I've got a 2010 M8 with a Kmod. It's got the Raptor shocks and a 3 inch 162. Without a doubt the Polaris Pro is easier to ride. It's lighter and the narrow width of the sled really help. If you plan on keeping the motor stock (warranty), go with the Polaris.

I found the pro easier, but the M with a kmod more capable in some cases and not in others. But I have a hard time with stock sled and buy a poo motor. The Kmod is a game changer for sure especially in the steep trees. If you put raptors all the way around it really becomes quite a nice sled. Big thing is the pro has better rider input, is a tinny bit narrower for those real steep sidehills and the way the panels are made to slide down them is really nice. But the M and pro can run hand in hand if setup right.

XM, I don't think so for steep sidehilling, the PC isn't a whole lot better unless you change some things
