M series Wiring Harness.

Hey Guys. I took my Gauge out of my m7 and Im wondering What do i do with the four Headlight hook ups. Do i have do modify them for a 55 w Lights? Or can I just snip the 2 wires off and run a Resistor Kit?????

I dont wana Hurt any signals that go to my motor tho.

Snip and cap them, tape them up so no water get to them and make sure no bare wire touches another or any thing else. Put on a resistor and go ride! Have been running that way for 5 seasons now and no problem with the ecu yet :)

More info please. You want to get rid of the guage only? Keep all 4 headlights? You will need a resistor, but most guys are getting rid of the guage and the lights altogether. I would try to keep the guage if you can because it conveys all of the trouble codes. Even in an aftermarket hood, try to keep your gauge.

no no... Im Keeping my Gauge... I wanted to Know if I have 2 MODIFY my stock harness to adapt to the 55 watts. I can just add some crimps if i have to for the wiring. Btw. Anyone have a Picture of how they wired the hood for the Speedo to intake area. i was thinking zip ties around the tubing.. or work it in around the Intake??

run your wiring up your steering post...keep it off your mesh hood...your hood should be completely independent imo..i mounted my two small 55w lights on the underside if my timbersled guage mount

mount gauge bracket on top of riser block..and you may want to wire your lights to low bean circuit so always on if your year has ecu issues..mine o7 so i was ok wiring to high beam so i have option as no issues with ecu on o7
