M Series Speedometer Gauge Compatibility

My 09 M8 digital gauge appears to have failed, sounds like a common issue with the 09's. The analog portion of the gauge still works and I haven't found any shorts, so I think it's time to order a new gauge.

Are there any other years that fit? I found this 07 gauge at Country Cat for a smoking deal.

Question is, will it fit and is it a direct plug in wiring wise?

double check but i believe it fits 09 up to 16. check e bay

What happens when they fail?

On mine the odometer stopped logging miles. The odometer/tripmeter resets to zero every time I restart the sled. Also the menu buttons don't seem to work.

I am curious to find out what fits what also, my kids 09 M8 guage took a dump also. Some of new gauges I have found have been expensive.
