Broken bulkhead, this is what the M-Rite support helps to prevent.
And they all break at some point if it isn't already. You have to pull the pipe to see the Break.

I like it

To bad I didn't see this in august or september cause I'd have put it on when the sled was torn apart.

It will be an on the shelf product if you ever have the need for it.

Was your bulkhead broken??????

No it wasn't broken but I had the tank, coils, steering post and hoop off of it. I thought about getting something just to stiffen it up at the time but ended up just putting it back together.

Looks good but do not think it will work on the 05 and 06,the steering post is different and mounted in a different place than the newer M Series.

Your correct they are a little different. We did send one to as guy and he said he made it work. I will let you know what it took. on the old m series.

It could be used as a template and redrill holes but would need the newer style steering post and a newer style gas tank.
The new Cat tank has a indentation on the right side to accomadate turning right.
For the newer style Cat this looks like it will work good.

Installed the M-Rite on my 2009 M8 and 2011 HCR, before anything cracked.

Good kit, good instructions. Everything fit perfect. No welding required, the M-Rite goes on with normal tools, bolted to the tunnel and riveted to the A-frame. Everything was supplied in the kit.

Bought a 12" long x 1/4" drill bit at Lowes for $6, to ream out and align a 1/4" bolt hole. That was my doing, not an M-Rite issue. I drilled out the factory rivet and enlarged the hole to 1/4" as per the instructions, but my drill wandered a few thou. Was easier to re-drill with a long bit, using the M-Rite in place as a guide. You can't get at some of the holes with a normal (short) drill bit.

Some other tips: A) When removing the plastic trim piece that wraps around your gas tank, take out all the screws and pop it toward and over the gas tank fill-cap, which makes it much easier to remove down below, by the foot rests. B) Look for chaffing on your spark plug wires, and re-secure the black plastic clip in a better location with a zip-tie.

The M-Rite supports the stock AC bulkhead at the A-frame bolts and steering base, where the M-Series bulkheads are known to crack. Both my 2009 M8 and 2011 HCR used to feel mushy at the handle bars, like something was flexing (A-frame, Tunnel ?). Now both handlebars feel noticeably more solid and secure.

I installed one on my m8 pretty simple great instructions as well awesome product

So I found a coolant leak where the steering posts mounts to the bulk head. I can see a little crack on the top that it is leaking at, am I able to just weld up the crack to fix it, or is there more to it? I plan on getting one of these m rite supports after I get this leak fixed.
