M hood and 06 F7 hood?

So in not using a inter cooler on my turbo sled and I'm going to get a new hood cause i have a huge hole in mine. i was wondering if any of you have tried to put that 2006 F7 hood on an M1000. Will it fix? any customizing?

I believe the side panels are quite different and the plastic around the handlebar post is quite different, but I've never tried it. Don't think it would be easy or pretty, but you could always try it.
