i should remember but dont does the 08 m 8 have the engine reverse or is that still the mechanical reverse. Also is it worth 3500 to get a 2010 over a 2008 .

I have an 08 and the diamond drive went out right around 1,000 miles, which I guess is farily common. Luckily it was still under warranty (I had one day left!), otherwise dealer said would have been about a grand to fix.

I love the sled...good horsepower, easy to handle. The 10's have what, a different track which I hear is nice, telescopic steering, and more horsepower, and of course hp sells!...BUT...i'm always leary when changes are made to the engine.

Is the 08 brand new? And if so, how much?

For $3500 I would almost say go with the 08 as you will be happy with it. But if you aren't really on a budget, hell, go with the 10. Obviously you are buying at the peak so will be paying a premium for the 10.

Then again...it's all how you want to spend your money!

Let us know what you did and why.

the 10 is 10200 and the 08 is 6700 both new. lot of money for two years dont know if its worth it. 08 is a 162 and i would prefer a 153

The track length would probably nix the deal for me too, unless you're riding in waist deep powder all the time...keep looking, there has to be a 153 track somewhere.

Where are you located?

be careful on the left over units. qualify with the dealer, if the unit is a special service unit. that is not a great thing. yes they are cheaper but, most only have a 90 day warrantee. if it is a true hold over unit the dealer ordered and stocked, you can get the year or two year warrantee. this is one of those buyer beware deals. educate yourself or it could cost more than the savings between the left over and the new unit.

food for thought, ski

The 2010 is a great sled, the new HO engine is impressive but you know how much you want to spend and the 2008 is a nice sled itself.

Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
