Lower your kit

This kit will lower your TS kit so you dont throw your hip out getting on it plus it changes the track approach angle and with the adjustable strut rod rod it doesnt have to be removed to adjust it. Includes new bottom strut bolt with shoulder that runs through both frame holes. Depending on how limiter strap is set and shortining of strut rod can gain 3 inches lower. $200.00

need more pics man.. looks like the rear linkage mount is where the plate goes?

This kit will make it sit just like this these are not TS sideplates I made new side plates to make it more rigid and to use a better bearing set up. By relocating and a geometry change this can be accomplished on TS side plates. I am not posting all the pics so you can copy it.

It's great to see aftermarket innovation pushing our sport. Love it.

Please note that although I have not personally seen this lowering kit, you should do your homework before modifying the factory Timbersled kit. Your Timbersled kit is designed to get up on top of the snow, and to generate traction; and it does it like no other product on snow. It's not just the act of bolting a suspension to a bike that makes it work; otherwise all the other kits out there would actually work. We know a super low seat height would be awesome, but there are many, many trade-offs for a mountain kit.

Moving the suspension closer to the chain could create chain tension problems (adjusting the chain and it hits track), track tensioning issues, as well as limiting your suspension travel. You'd also be significantly altering the chassis angles we've specifically engineered in the kit, as well as the front to rear weight bias and ski pressure. Then there's re-sale ability with a modified kit...

These are all thoughts and questions and not meant to discredit in any way- as I have not personally seen this kit. I do applaud the innovation, and the effort, and don't want to discourage that in any way.

Looking good did a similar thing to my 2012 SX kit and lowered several other kits with great success Timbersled always maintained that it should not be done, now the 15s are all lowered -- and boy do they work:face-icon-small-hap just lowering the rod alone does not do it :face-icon-small-win good to see someone is doing a retrofit kit for older rigs.

I sure like the idea. Can it really be that easy?

I guess messing with the mounting position of the front arm of the rear suspension on the rails isn't needed to make the suspension geometry work properly at the lower ride height?

If you do not go to low you will be able to get away with sucking in the limiter strap a bit . The ultimate upgrade would be side-plates with a relocated front axle and suspension arm mounting point. With the 15s out there just do a bit of measuring it is not a secret anymore we know it works. One issue with the old chain-case covers they interfere more with boots than the new low profile plastic ones if you move the axle forward and up as much as possible.
This would bring the older kits as close as one could expect to 2015 spec.
