i know i have heard of this before. But cant find the thread or info on it.

The lower bolt on the wifes 06 rmk 700 is dripping oil, its actually quite alot of oil.

I snugged up the bolt but it sat for a week and still leaked oil on the benchtop.

If i remember right, this bolt is open behind it into the case. so how is one to seal the bolt up???

hers a pic of the one in question.

Had this problem on my 9 and it ended up being the oil seeping through the parting line in the cases. Use Permatex " Right stuff" its oil compatable. Most silacone does have a tough time sealing oil film bound parts. The directions say put it on and fill and is ready for use. I use this on my drag car and its outstanding.

Looks like the pump is leaking to me out of the seal on the shaft not out of that bolt. The bolt just happens to be the lowest point so you are seeing the oil drip off of it. Time to put new seals in the pump if possible or replace the oil pump.
