lower gearing, were to get gears

No one makes a 15W 20 tooth top. I bought a bunch of the 50 tooth Team with Jim but when we fit a 21/50 set on, it needs a 92 chain. The tensioner is almost at the end of travel so we didn't feel that was a good option.

We are working on getting something built........

cant you run a manual tensioner with that set up?? the auto tensioner is junk anyway

You could, it would be better than the auto for sure. Still would have more out there than you'd like to see. At this point we felt building what we wanted all along was the better way to go, especially with the whole issue being a little suspect as it is. The 50 tooth is not cheap either compared to a top gear.

The sooner someone makes a lower gear for these sleds the better. I have one inch of my primary that never gets used. On long pulls my clutches are fine. In the trees and gulleys they get hot.

From what I understand from the dealer show earlier this week Cat will have lower gearing for the 1100t in the next couple weeks.

7 tooth

That's what I did with my 174 3", but mostly for track clearance. Although as we found out today the IceAge rails with the lower bolt hole are hitting the track clips pretty hard. Moved to upper back hole. I am running the Belanger 800 js with steady bearings, OSP manual tensioner and STM hyvo gears. Bye bye reverse. Belanger torque arms, OSP enclosed js brace. Oh, and Turbie motor mounts.

I don't know if it needs all of that for the 300 tune but the motor is now built so it will be a test mule for power.

Found out on my 12 153 that if you drill the new front hole and drop the skid you also get to reclip your entire track every so often. I didn't have a problem until I moved the limiters up one hole from the bottom and then every clip looks burned and half of them are missing. :face-icon-small-fro
