Lower case brass oil fitting out again

Ok, so two seasons ago the oil line that goes to the lower casing (the brass pressed in fitting) popped out. Over the summer i used JB weld and put it back into place.

Tonight i went out for a ride filled up the oil and noticed it pouring out the belly pan, turns out after 2 seasons that oil line brass fitting has come out again,

so my question is who else out there has fixed this and how?? would a brace with a screw that can hold pressure on the brass fitting work? should i just try jb weld again (however my shop isnt heated so going to be hard to get it to cure properly)

thanks

Sure, you could drill and tap it for a hold down screw. My biggest concern would be how thick is the area where you'd drill, you wouldn't want to break thru, getting filings in the case.

ya i was trying to figure out ifi could brace it off of something else without the drilling or tapping the case...i know some poeple on here have had this problem

i know there isnt any pressure in that line just gravity feed so even it the sealant doesnt hold fully then a brace could work

I installed an o-ring on the fitting, applied a little bit of hi temp silicone, and used a scrap chunk of tin attached to a reed bolt to hold it in place. This pic is version 1.0, I now have a more substantial aluminum bracket in place, but both worked.

ok, so replaced the JB weld on it today hope it holds as long as it did last time.

Also built a "brace" similar to above using a bolt with two nuts to hold it in place, I would be surprised if this doesnt hold it in

Will post a pic if i get a chance

Does anyone know what happens when not inspected and repaired. I've had it ruin two rides. Would like a nice oil caddy bracket as well... I have not built anything to prevent the problem, just locktite that didnt make it to the trailer so i scuffed things and jb welded. Mine held two years also so I repeated. Hope the second time lasts longer. Any other fixes???
